medi-Facture

March 2020, I founded Medi-Facture to address the critical mask shortage during the height of the pandemic! We imported from a supplier in China and sold medical masks to medical providers in the Midwest!

Biomedical Research

I have a strong background in academic research, medical implants, and prosthetics. I spent three years as a research intern at the Regenerative Medicine and Disability Research Laboratory at The University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford. I investigated 3D printed implants, identified new mechanisms the body uses to degrade implants, and used sound to assess and detect implant failure which led to three publications!

While studying at The University of Alabama, I re-founded The Alabama Prosthetic Project. I led the The Alabama Prosthetic Project as the CAD Lead where we manufactured low-cost prosthetic hands for low-income families at no cost!

Education

August 2022

Tuscaloosa, Alabama

I am thankful for experiences, connections, and knowledge conferred by The University of Alabama. Through my time, I have had the pleasure of founding multiple companies, planting tens of thousands of endangered trees, 3D printing prosthetics for children, publish research on 3D printed titanium implants, corrosion, and using sound to detect implant failure. My time at UA was incredibly intellectually stimulating and I look forward to continuing that trendline!

Magnetic Plug Adapter

In 2013 our robotics team was presented with the challenge: Senior Solutions. We conducted over 25 interviews to better understand the problems senior people are facing. Mobility, independence, and safety were their top priority. So, we invented the Magnetic Plug Adapter to solve these problems. The Magnetic Plug Adaptor aids to help people maintain their independence by increasing the ease of plugging and unplugging appliances and maintains save environments by preventing people from tripping over power chords. We were the runners up in the Global Innovation Awards!
